About · Founder
After an international career of more than 15 years in banking and financial risk management in Europe and Asia, Giuseppe Fresta founded My City Science to combine his corporate experience with his lifelong commitment to field-based science.
He has participated in scientific training, fieldwork and research projects across more than ten countries. His academic background includes degrees in earth sciences, archaeology, and palaeontology.
His vision is to transform places into living laboratories and science into a shared experience, empowering people to become informed individuals, lifelong explorers and active contributors to a more sustainable future.

At My City Science, we believe that travelling is more than visiting new places. It is one of the most powerful ways to understand our planet, its history and the people who have shaped it. You don't need to be a scientist to join us. All you need is curiosity, an open mind and a desire to discover the world through science.
We design journeys that transform landscapes into living laboratories, where participants learn directly from scientists, heritage professionals and the natural environment. Every experience combines adventure, scientific discovery and hands-on learning to inspire curiosity, deepen understanding and encourage lifelong learning.
As a licensed travel agency, we design and operate our own scientific experiences, ensuring that every journey reflects our educational and scientific mission rather than conventional tourism.

Immersive Journeys are international multi-day scientific expeditions that combine travel with scientific learning, expert guidance and field-based exploration. Case studies
An eight-day Immersive Journey to the High Arctic, and a two-hour walking tour through 100 million years of Madrid. Both start from the same premise: the place itself is the laboratory.
Far beyond the Arctic Circle, Svalbard is an open-air laboratory for climate science and one of the last wild places on Earth. This is not a traditional tour, nor a scientific expedition. Above all, this journey is about wonder.
Our Arctic base
Founded in 1906 as a coal-mining settlement, Longyearbyen is now an Arctic research, tourism and logistics hub — home to roughly 2,500 residents from more than 50 nationalities, and one of the few places on Earth where a modern town sits in the heart of the High Arctic.
In August the tundra is snow-free, wildlife is active, seabird colonies are bustling and daylight is nearly continuous.
